ecolene™  products are manufactured to exacting standard in a specially designed extrusion process incorporating synergistic chemistry and polymer compounding technology. Synergistic chemistry help to overcome degradation problems in wicker that are associated with exposure to sunlight and some artificial lights. Compounding technology enhances the performance of the final products by combining the strength of the various polymers. This extrusion process allows the wicker to be shaped into various profiles and textures.

Unlike natural rattan and other synthetic wicker ecolene™ has been specially formulated to give the following distinguishing characteristics :

  • It has a textured surface that looks and feels like natural rattan, wood and abacca.
  • It is fabricated to endure rigorous outdoor conditions such as sunlight UV exposure, extreme temperature variances, mold and mildew.
  • It is resistant to moisture, sea water and chlorinated water.
